The lifespan of industrial control systems (ICS), also called operations technology (OT), has benefited the industry with long term ROI. Developed and deployed in a different era of cybersecurity threats, ICS/OT must address the fast changing threat landscape. We cannot rip-and-replace ICS/OT solely for cybersecurity, we must look at ways to mitigate current and future cybersecurity threats. This presentation will review our dependence on ICS/OT and the threat of cybersecurity, followed by specific guidance on the #2 threat: USB.
